Abstract

This study aims to examine the oral literary forms of Ronggeng Pasaman, Bakobar, Rantak Kudo, Iriak Onjai, Dabuih, and Ratok Bagindo Suman. This research examines the cultural wealth of the Minangkabau people. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on description to understand how Minangkabau oral tradition helps maintain cultural identity. Overall, the results show that Minangkabau oral literature and oral traditions have a significant contribution in preserving the culture and identity of the community.
